Creating change step by step

Gulson Learning Centre

The Gulson Learning Centre was established upon seeing the impact of the pandemic on employment in Shirdi–a historical landmark that previously depended solely on tourism for its income. In the wake of this crisis, it became clear that many people, especially underprivileged youth, needed skill training and education to find new jobs.
The centre hoped to combat this matter by providing the rural citizens more work opportunities while bridging the gap between demand and supply. Upon opening its doors in August 2021 in Nighoj, Shirdi–the establishment has had a profound impact on its beneficiaries through training courses such as:

Success Story

The post-12th dropout rate for rural areas of India is at an all-time high. One such example is Ashwini, a child to a single father who works as a daily wage labourer. With zero intent to pursue her studies post her 12th grade she pursued Gulson Foundation’s Basic Computer Course, upon which she could land a position in ‘Aapale Sarkar’ near her village. She now possesses the confidence and income to provide for her family while restarting her education.
